SAPPHIRE is an original composition for solo pedal harp. This piece began as a warm-up piece - an exercise focused on arpeggiated 10ths in a simple repetitive chord progression with syncopation.

As with all my music, it took on a life of its own - while it is 5 pages, it is repetitive in that the main theme appears three times, and the ending expounds on previously stated themes, patterns and motifs. There are several pedal changes, one at a time.

SAPPHIRE can be paired with my harp composition SONORA - with its final chord, Sapphire leads directly into Sonora.
